Hunter By Mercedes Lackey 

The very first review will be Hunter by Mercedes Lackey.  The first young adult book I was introduced to and my first rant with Avid about the genre.  Overall, I enjoyed the story but have to confess I was extremely frustrated with the workings of the magic system and the development of the story during sections of the book.  While I have always gravitated towards classic books, Hunter will be one of the many young adult books covered in this blog.  With COVID and other unforeseeable issues popping up lately, I look forward to making a library of book reviews that I myself can enjoy going back and looking over.  Who knows?  It could possibly entertain others.

It should be noted that the purpose of this review and blog hold many reasons.  Not only as an enjoyable activity between two people, which I hope to promote to others as well.  It is also a little project where two different people with very different viewpoints can once again find common ground and enjoy things together.  A notion, I believe, that is lost more now than ever before.  So, if somehow we are able to inspire others to find the same common ground, then I'm sure our ramblings will be worth it.
